{Who Let the Dogs Out?}

L received a recorder from her Sunbeam teacher last week and hasn't been able to put it down since. She has been going around the house singing & playing her new instrument and I captured a little tid-bit for your viewing pleasure. So, pause the music on my blog and then click on the video below. This cracks me up every time I watch it. I hope it puts a smile on your face too. Enjoy!

{Mia's Big Day!}

Today is the day! After four months of waiting, Mia is getting her new heart today. I've had a little skip in my step all morning. I am so happy for Mia and excited the wait is over. At the same time, I am filled with so much emotion for the family who so graciously decided to donate. For four months I have watched my good friend endure this pain, along with her precious baby, and I am so grateful to this family for their decision to donate life in the middle of their trial. Please pray for little Mia as she continues her fight, and please pray for that wonderful family who chose to donate life. You can follow Mia's progress today on her family blog.

Happy Birthday

J-is for the jokes you tell that bomb 70% of the time. I love your sense of humor, your smile, and your laugh.

A- is because you're awesome!

S- is for your sweet and sensitive side. I love how you are not afraid to share your feelings even at the risk of shedding a tear.

O- is for your optimism. I marvel at your ability to turn anything into a positive situation.

N- is for your never ending thirst to learn.

{A Pirate, a Butterfly & a Lady Bug}

We had a great Halloween this year. We did the annual Trunk-or-Treat at our church and came home with WAY too much candy. Sadly, we missed all the trick-or-treater's in our neighborhood so we had two bags of candy left over.
I went through the kids loot and bought back most of their candy this year. E was more than happy to sell me his candy, but L...not so much. She is a girl with a never ending sugar addiction. It must be genetic.
We didn't carve or paint pumpkins this year. We decided to decorate them with the crafty pipe cleaner things. The kids LOVED it, and it was something they could do without any help.
