{Mom & Me}

I decided to take E & L out on dates, seperately, so I could have some fun one-on-one time with them before the school year started. I told them ahead of time so they could be thinking of what they wanted to do.

First, E & I went out. We raced go-carts, took a few swings in the batting cage, stopped for a bite to eat & ended with some window shopping at Target in the toy section. He thoroughly analyzed every Indiana Jones and Star Wars Lego set they had. It was fun. He wasn't hurried by an impatient sister, or Mom, and was able to make a pretty nice wish list for Santa.

The next night belonged to L. We first went to get milk shakes, then on to the go-carts, & we ended our night playing in a park on the jungle gym. I thought her face was going to hurt from smiling so much. I think every time I looked at her, she had a huge smile on her face. It was the best sight ever!

I had such a great time both nights. I love my kids so much. I am with them all the time, so I don't think about having "dates" with them. It's usually something Daddy does with them. But I think I will need to sneak in some dates on a more regular basis.

{Children's Museum}

We went to the Children's Museum yesterday with my friend T & her kids. We were hoping to have some fun outdoors, but the weather forecast wasn't looking too promising. I can't believe school is starting soon and we ran out of sunshine already.
I love these first three pics ...I really wanted a nice pic of all of them smiling and looking at the camera...but that's tough with six little kiddos.

{Has anyone seen my phone?}

This phrase is said at least once a day by me in our house. The problem is I leave my phone in my purse and the kids like to get in my purse to hunt for things....I am not sure if they even know what they are hunting for. Then my purse is left on the floor for K to find. The other day I found my phone, only after calling it, in this toy of K's. I really wish it was that easy to find my keys. They have been found in the bottom of toy buckets many times.

{One Shoe}

I am not quite sure what this is about, but K only wants to wear one shoe in the house. If you put two on, she'll take one off. If you take both off, she'll hunt one down so she can persuade someone to help her put it on. It's pretty funny.

Kung-Fu Jaguars

This season has been so much fun watching E play baseball. It's his first year on a coach-pitch team and he does really well. I have to say, I was a little suprised because he wasn't exactly "a natural" last year on his t-ball team when it came to batting. But he does great at coach pitch. I am sure it has a lot to do with all the practicing with Daddy at the park and in the back yard. He is a quick study and has a great ability for sports like his Daddy, when he puts his mind into it. Way to go, E! You're awesome!!

{What Happens When Mom is Gone?}

The other day I went to visit a friend and was gone for a few hours. Apparently there was a "boxing incident" that took place in my absence. I still can't figure out how it all happened....but Daddy said the kids were boxing with their gloves on and L ran into the bread board. Boxing in the kitchen?....Really? Was this a free for all....where was the referee? L said she wanted a drink so she went to the kitchen....but apparently she never declared a 'time-out'. Who knows.....the important thing is she is fine. I am just dealing with lots of questions from people.

Oh, and the mark on her chest....that is from K biting her!! My poor L! I am horrified that I have a biter on my hands. Whenever K gets made, she goes after you with her jaw wide open and ready to chomp down. Poor L gets the most of it as she is the one who gets in K's face the most.

But through it all, L is still smiling!!

{Cow?}

I've put K's hair up like this a few different times now, and each time E calls her his "sweet cow". He thinks she looks like a bull with horns. I am getting tired of the one pony tail on top of her head, like Pebbles, so I think this is an adorable change. But maybe it's a beauty only a mother can see. I am wondering if K will look back at this photo and get upset that I made her look like a cow on purpose.
